Tallers de 6è primària

Dins el marc del traspàs de primària a secundària, un any més les escoles adscrites (La Marina, Bernat Metge, Ramon Muntaner, Mare de Déu de Bellvitge) han vingut a realitzar un taller de caire científic-tecnològic que té el següent lema de base: “La meva primera classe a l'Institut Europa”.

Enguany els alumnes de sisè construeixen diferents autòmats amb material reciclat i l'ajuda i guiatge dels nostres alumnes de 4t d'aula oberta. En cada autòmat caldrà instal·lar un mecanisme per tal de transformar i transmetre el moviment, donant vida als nostres personatges... Aquests mecanismes són en realitat dispositius que trobem en moltes de les màquines que utilitzem al dia a dia i que la humanitat els fa servir des de fa una pila d'anys per fer-nos la vida més fàcil! Us hi atreviu?

Taller d'autoprotecció i suport vital

Durant aquest dies, l'alumnat de 3r d’ESO participa en un tallers d'autoprotecció i suport vital bàsic organitzats per la creu roja.

Hem programat aquests tallers amb l'objectiu que puguin aprendre a realitzar els primers auxilis de manera segura, ordenada i eficient. Els alumnes van aprendre com fer una trucada al 112, quin és el protocol d’atenció a un ferit, els diferents tipus de lesions (ferides, cremades, fractures, etc.) i com tractar-les, van rebre els coneixements bàsics sobre la reanimació cardiopulmonar (RCP) i quins són els seus passos i cicles.

Amb aquests tallers, van rebre una formació bàsica i necessària per saber aplicar els primers auxilis sense exposar la seva seguretat i evitant que la víctima sofreixi més danys dels que ja té.

Samsun, sixth Erasmus+ meeting

Sunday 19

This week (from 19th to 25th of November), our group of students are meeting their Erasmus partners and host families in the welcoming Turkey in order to share their knowledge on global warming

We will share our findings on the topic and delve into the matter to find some solutions. Let's bear in mind that change starts with ourselves!

The chronicle of the departure to Samsun.

Monday 20

First day, first impressions. Thanks to the warming welcome, we adapted pretty quickly to the time change. The Adhan (or the Islamic call to prayer) added some colourful music to our early start. Turkey was ready to kick off!

Ice breakers have been the excuse to get to know our partners better, with whom we've set out on a journey to tackle global warming.

Some pleasant and cultural stroll around Samsun and some of its highlights helped us become familiar with the city that is hosting us: The Statue of Honour introduced us to the influential big name of Atatürk; in the Panorama Museum, we learned a bit more about the founding father of Turkey, and we finished our walking tour in the Foreigners' Bazaar, where we came into contact with the cultural tradition of bargaining.

Tuesday 21

In our second day in Samsun, it was time to get in contact with nature and spend the morning wandering around the wilderness of Canik Forest. It looked like it was going to drizzle all day long, but soon, a hazy sunshine shyly broke through the clouds.

We finished our walk visiting the Canik Orman Okulu, a school that focuses on finding ways to mix the learning of sustainability with raising awareness about the need of taking care of mother nature. We enjoyed playing team building games and had a great time.

In the evening, our host families lavished all sorts of traditional Turkish dishes on us. They filled up both our hearts and stomachs!

Wednesday 22

The day started piecing together fragments of the fascinating story of the matriarchal society created by the Amazon warriors, who allegedly occupied this land and severed their breasts to fire arrows more easily.

Later, we had the chance to embark on a yacht tour that was cancelled yesterday because of the weather conditions. We finally sailed across the Black Sea, tasted the distinctive simit, felt the gusty wind, and got carried away, moving Turkishly to the sound of music while we wholeheartedly embraced the moment like the seagulls that glided over our heads.

We finished our walk tour where we started: literally at the foot of the statue of an empowered female warrior.

Thursday 23

The day started with each team showing their presentations about global warming. To understand how this issue affects our daily lives, we all had previously conducted research in our countries. We also tried to share strategies on how we can address this issue.

After coming up with some ideas about what we could do, a contest was held to decide which was the best awareness campaign that we could bring to our schools so that we could be part of the solution and not part of the pollution.

We finished with the certification ceremony, held by the vice principal, that ended in front of the school's wall of fame, which bears the signature of every Erasmus student that is hosted.

We will share our findings on the topic and delve into the matter to find some solutions. Let's bear in mind that change starts with ourselves!

Friday 24

On our last day of work, students have created two posters: one to raise awareness about yesterday's chosen campaign (a challenge to promote reusing clothes by encouraging students to exchange theirs), and a second one about the issue at stake (global warming).

We have also celebrated Teacher's Day with the school staff and have built a domino run with the "Erasmus +" letters, which we also toppled.

After a week of sharing unforgettable moments, it has been time to exchange fond farewells and send our best wishes.

Our journey back home will start at 4 in the morning. We have already packed a handful of ideas to bring back to our countries with a view to rising to the major climate change challenge.

Descobrim nous esports: Rugby

Aquesta setmana els alumnes de primer d'ESO han fet una sortida al camp de rugbi de l'Hospitalet. El seu director esportiu ens ha fet una explicació dels orígens del club i, sobretot, dels valors que es transmeten amb aquest esport, que té com a grans pilars el treball en equip, el suport mutu, l’esperit de superació i el sacrifici per una meta comú. Després vam poder gaudir d'un entrenament dirigit per una jugadora del primer equip i un entrenador de l’escola de rugbi. En finalitzar la sessió vam poder participar del tercer temps de rugbi, aprenent així de les tradicions i valors que es treballen en aquest esport.

Aquesta activitat, organitzada pel Rugby Club de l'Hospitalet i gestionada per l'Ajuntament a través del programa INTRO, ofereix als alumnes la possibilitat de treballar amb tècnics especialitzats per aprendre d'una forma més distesa modalitats esportives que, tot i tenir-les al seu abast, tanmateix abans no havien contemplat com a pràctica esportiva capaç d’omplir-los i ajudar-los a formar-se com a persones. A més a més, aquesta entitat en concret celebra enguany el seu cinquantè aniversari.

Nit Slham Poetry

El SlhamPoetry enganxa!

Jauad, de 2n Batxillerat després del seu pas pel torneig entre instituts, ha participat en la nit SlhamPoetry que va tenir lloc a l centre cultural Santa Eulàlia la passada nit.

El Poetry Slam és un esdeveniment poètic participatiu en el qual els/les poetes se sotmeten al veredicte del públic després de recitar poemes de 3 minuts màxim. És fresc, dinàmic i divertit, però també un vehicle per expressar i escoltar els temes més tocants i candents.

Jauad va fer una bona posada en escena, compartint escenari amb una selecció dels/les slammers més guardonats a escala mundial. L’encarregada d’obrir la Nit de Slam Poetry va ser la guanyadora de la XXII Jornada de Poesia Jove de L’Hospitalet, Noa Lima.
