The students of 1^st ESO did a Role play where students could practice ordering food and drinks in a restaurant. They created a restaurant by setting the table in a correct way, playing music and even placing some candles.

Then, students used a real menu to create their own restaurant dialogue between a waiter and a customer. Students took it in turns to order a menu item from another group member, e.g. Can I have..., please?, I'll have..., or I'd like... please, Here you are'. ..

Finally, their peers assess them through a rubric that they had designed previously.
