The students who take part in the Erasmus went to visit the landfill and the eco-park in San Adrià. It was a guided visit in English where they could see the huge amount of waste that is generated in Barcelona. As a part of our project” InWastegation” they asked the guides about the tourism impact in the waste generation and what actions our city Council should take to stop the bad image caused not only by the tourists but by the citizens as well.

After the visit, we went to visit an urban garden in Sarrià where a group of volunteers are carrying out a project with the support of the City Council in order to make our city cleaner and greener.

We hope to increase awareness about the importance of Recycling, Reusing and Reducing as much as possible.

What are the students and families of Institut Europa doing at the airport? Guess what? Their Erasmus partners are going to spend 6 days here working on the project “InWastegation”. They are lodged with families and during this week they are going to work and design a better sustainable life, protecting the environment, reusing, reducing the waste and recycling as much as possible.
